In solidarity with social and humanitarian problems, philately widespreads through stamps, the most relevant actions carried out in this case, through a stamp issued on the Millenium Development Goals (MDG) In the year 2000, 189 world leaders came together at the General Assembly of the United Nations to adopt the United Nations Millennium Declaration, committing their nations to a new global partnership to reduce extreme poverty and setting out a series of time-bound targets - with a deadline of 2015 - that have become known as the Millennium Development Goals. The commitment of the international community resolved to “spare no effort to free our fellow men, women and children from the abject and dehumanizing conditions of extreme poverty”. The eight Millennium Development Goals are: End poverty and hunger, Universal education, Gender Equality, Child health, Maternal health, Combat AIDS and other diseases, Environmental sustainability and Global partnership. Each goal is divided into different objectives assessable by more than 60 indicators.
Up to this date important progress has been made in some of the MDG but there is still plenty of work to be done and many of the aims and goals will not be fulfilled by the deadline of 2015 “ unless additional reinforcement or corrective actions are urgently implemented” according to the 2008 report of the UNO.

Rate C - €1.75. For a “standard” Ordinary International letter or postcard addressed to the rest of the world (except USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand), up to 20 g.
Rate D - €2.10. For a “standard” Ordinary International letter or postcard addressed to the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, up to 20 g.
