One of the most popular franchises in the history of cinema is once again the star feature of a stamp issued in the Correos series dedicated to Cinema.
Presented in tri-fold brochure format, the new souvenir sheet has Harry Potter as its key figure for the first time.
The Harry Potter series includes eight films based on the famous Harry Potter series of seven children's novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling and starring the fictitious wizard of the same name. These are fantasy films, based on the novels and first released between 2001 and 2011. A film was made for each of the books, except for the last one, which was adapted to make two separate films. The feature films were produced by the American studio Warner Bros.
The Harry Potter saga describes the adventures of the young magician Harry Potter during his time at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who, together with his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, has to fight the dark wizard, Lord Voldemort, who murdered his parents and is set on conquering the world of wizardry.
The souvenir sheet features all the main elements of the Harry Potter saga, such as his inseparable friends, Ron and Hermione, alongside the castle that houses the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Keeping with innovation, it also includes cold foil both in the magic wand's light beam and in the letters spelling Harry Potter as a tribute to the magic that surrounds the entire saga.
