ANNIVERSARIES. 20TH NATIONAL CONGRESS ON VOLUNTEERING. OURENSE
This year’s National Congress on Volunteering will be held in the city of Ourense on 28-29 November. This is an annual national forum which brings together all the key agents in the structuring and development of volunteering (Government, volunteering bodies, educational institutions, the media and business), and is an important space for reflection and debate on the problems affecting or concerning volunteering and social entities all over Spain. Its 20th edition will be organised by the Autonomous Region of Galicia, with the financial and technical support of the Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare and the Spanish Volunteering Platform, and the logistical collaboration of the Fundación Feiras e Exposiciones de Ourense (Expourense).
The forum, titled “Link up with volunteering”, includes the following goals:
Establishing a space for discussion on the future of volunteering, recognising the efforts and support of all volunteers and the volunteering organisations which are involved every day in attending to the needs of society.
Reassessing volunteering in Spain, especially in Galicia, which as seen in the latest report by the Observatory of the Spanish Volunteering Platform is the Spanish region most committed to volunteering, with the highest levels of participation.
Empowering volunteering as an element which energises altruistic actions in our society and as one of our most important assets as we face the future creation of a better society, helping those who need it, and the impact and importance of volunteering as an element for recognising and promoting the future employability of young people.
The stamp issued by Correos has a modern design with the Congress logo over background images of As Burgas and the Roman bridge of Ourense, elements relating to water, which is very important to the city.

Rate D - €2.10. For a “standard” Ordinary International letter or postcard addressed to the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, up to 20 g.
