HISTORY

SOLIDARITY STAMP. UN 2030 AGENDA

On 25 September 2015, 193 countries committed to compliance with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

These goals work towards equality for all people, protecting the planet and safeguarding prosperity.

The 17 SDGs are: No Poverty; Zero Hunger; Good Health and Well-being; Quality Education; Gender Equality; Clean Water and Sanitation; Affordable and Clean Energy; Decent Work and Economic Growth; Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure; Reducing Inequality; Sustainable Cities and Communities; Responsible Consumption and Production; Climate Action; Life Below Water; Life On Land; Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions; and Partnerships for the Goals.

In recent years Correos has been issuing a series of Solidarity Stamps, collaborating with different causes to raise visibility and awareness.

This year the series celebrates the 2030 Agenda with a Premium Sheet showing its logo and the 17 Goals.

The solidarity stamp depicts a detail of the world seen from space. The 2030 Agenda logo also appears on the stamp, along with a text pledging that Correos will donate 3% of its revenue from the stamp to this ambitious and inspiring project.

The 2030 Agenda is a call to global action for the next 11 years. The countries of the United Nations are committed to mobilising the resources needed to implement the Goals through alliances, focusing especially on the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable.

If Spain meets these goals, it will be the country we all dream of.
