FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE. PROTEST STAMPS
On 26 March 2020, the same day as World Climate Day, Correos will issue and put into circulation a stamp which includes the winning design from the competition that took place a few days before the Climate Change Conference held in Madrid on 3-10 December 2019. The competition took place via Correos’ Instagram profile which sought designs to raise awareness about the Fight Against Climate Change, whose illustrations came with messages of awareness, and as a voice of protest, from a generation who is fighting against, committed to and concerned by global warming and climate change.
The winner of the competition was Celia Somoza de la Peña, who carried out her design in watercolours, and which featured a woman, representing Mother Earth, embracing the earth.

With regards to the above, the stamp design competition,“Disello”, a pun on the concept of speaking out and taking action through the design of stamps, is centred around the topic of climate change in both of its categories (general and youth categories). The stamp design competition is held every year by the Philately Directorate, and will mark its 7th edition next year.
Rate A - €0.75. For a “standard” letter or postcard within Spain, up to 20 g.
Rate A2 - €0.85. For a “standard” letter or postcard within Spain, between 20 g and 50 g.
Rate B - €1.65. For a “standard” Ordinary International letter or postcard addressed to Europe (including Greenland), up to 20 g.
Rate C - €1.75. For a “standard” Ordinary International letter or postcard addressed to the rest of the world (except USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand), up to 20 g.
Rate D - €2.10. For a “standard” Ordinary International letter or postcard addressed to the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, up to 20 g.
